Solomon ortiz center. Right on the water under harbor bridge. Great venue.
Yeah!! Mile marker 212 next to the sea wall is great!! My husband and the boys scoped out the place that morning and built a little tiki hut with a cross on top and a surfboard background. We rented chairs for $150 and set them right on the sand:) we had our reception at the catholic church on the island. They have an indoor reception hall and were wonderful on pricing! Have fun and congrats!!!!!
We're getting married at the Water Gardens, it's a huge circular fountain with a large grassy area in the middle and it's downtown. We're having our reception in the Selena Rotunda room in the american bank center, which is right next to the Water Gardens. Very cool, the Selena Rotunda is on the second floor and overlooks the bay with floor to ceiling windows. It wasn't even terribly expensive (~4300 for 100 people, with the most expensive catering option, includes tables, linens, chairs, security, room rental fee, waiters, china, etc.) I would really recommend them, they've been very courteous so far. :)

Depending on the time of year, number of guests and budget for the wedding, there are several options. There is the Museum of Science and History, the Texas State Aquarium and the Art Center of South Texas. There is also another option of having it on the beach in Port Aransas (much more private) and then the reception in town, as well. I have many weddings there. Take a look at our website www.eventcreations.net and call me at #361-946-0432

There are several great venues in Port Aransas. Mansions by the Sea offers the venue, ceremony site and accommodations in the same area. http://www.mansionbythesea.com/ For a smaller event ~ we offer beach weddings and bonfire receptions. So you can go as formal or as casual as you like. You can check out our packages at www.portaweddings.com or contact me ~ Joanne at [email protected]
