Does anyone know if you have to get permission to take wedding photos at Forsyth park? I want to take photos after our ceremony with the whole wedding party, but I want to make sure I don't need permission. Also, if anyone has already taken photos there, could you recommend a particular area of the park to take the photos? The park looks pretty big, and I don't want to have to hike around looking for good spots. Thanks!
Hi. There is no problem taking photos. However you may want to check with the city because if there is another event/wedding scheduled at the same times as you want to take photos you will not be allowed near the fountain or surrounding areas. Might be worth it to rent it for an hour so that you have it and no tourist will be allowed around while you're trying to take wedding photos. Just a thought. Hope this helps! :)
Hello I got married in Forsyth park and you can take pictures as long as another event is not going on. People do rent out the squares (in front of the fountain) but it shouldn't be a problem! The best area to take photos is on the long brick walkway, and in front of the fountain! It makes the photos turn out beautiful!
It's at Savannah Station on September 10. That's a good idea, thanks. I'll just have to make sure they won't charge me extra to show up early for the photos since we are taking them between the ceremony and reception.
