Advice Needed - Wedding Rehearsal Dinner - Friday, May 6, 2011

Hello. I was hoping you could help point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a place in the Seaside/Santa Rosa Beach vicinity to have a rehearsal dinner for 50 people on the night of Friday, May 6 around 7:30 PM.

My two main concerns are privacy and affordability. We're on a fairly tight budget :). Ideally, we'd like to rent out an event space or a house for the evening and have a local caterer or restaurant cater the dinner. On or near the beach is ideal but not an absolute. Please let me know of any locations/venues you might recommend.

I know it's short notice but any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

You could try Cafe 30A, Bud and Alleys or Bentleys on the Bay.

Hi! I am getting married in SRB on May 14, and was actually just down in that area this weekend to meet with some vendors. There are probably more choices in the Destin area, but Bud and Alleys in Seaside would be great. Also, there is a restaurant named Stinky's Fish Camp in SRB on 30-A (not on the beach) - the name sounds wierd, but we ate lunch their and their food was great. It is a favorite among locals. And they had a room upstairs that looked like it would be great for a rehearsal dinner. Hope that helps! We are actually having our rehearsal dinner at Fisherman's Wharf in Destin -kinda far, but they have a nice outdoor deck over the harbor.
