Also, more importantly, can anyone recommend a good place where i can get my Save the Date cards and wedding invitations? i'm looking for someone that does quality work at a reasonable price. Hi!
I would be happy to help you begin your wedding planning! I know that it is definetly not an easy process these days without help. My wedding planner is Kathryn Frank and she is amazing! Her prices range depending on what you are looking for, if you want her for the entire planning process or just the day of but let me say I dont think I could of done it without her. Not only for her clear head but also her connections and negotiating skills that an 'out-sider' like me would not be able to accomplish. Here is her email if you would like to contact her directly for more information kathrynfrank1@gmail.com.
Now for the save-the-dates...I used www.magnetstreet.com because I wanted magnet and they turned out great! I bought 150 magnets and I think I spent around $280 for them but they were also only 1 photo. It gets more expensive the more pictures you add and the bigger the size. I also googled a lot of things to find the price I wanted. If you google save the dates you should have plenty of choices and then find the price that works for you.
Some other good wedding sites to looks at are www.Etsy.com they have anything you are looking for and also www.weddingbee.com. they are both sites where people sell things and I know they are both trusted sites.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Wedding planners range depending on what you are looking for ... ex: day of coordination, full coordination, etc... It was worth the price for the piece of mind on our wedding day. I used Isis with theisisexperience.com As far as save the dates, I used etsy.com and thet have tons and tons of sellers who can create save the dates and invitations for you... Happy planning sweetie!

Hi! Not sure on how much a wedding planner would cost, we planned our entire wedding by ourselves. I can tell you that you should definitely get on the planning since you're marrying in Dec. of this year...find the location you want and get it booked! The dates get booked quick! We got our save the dates from www.magnetstreet.com - they did a wonderful job and we got to approve what they would look like before they mailed them to us. They weren't expensive and if you sign-up for their emails then you'll get coupon codes throughout the year for 10-20% off your order! :) My brother and his fiance' used www.vistaprint.com for their wedding save the date magnets. Both places have card options also not just magnets. You could probably have them do your wedding invitations also if you find something you like on there, but we made our own invitations. I found a design I liked to inspire our invitations from www.myjeanm.com ...they sell invitations.

Hope all this helps! Good luck planning and ask more questions if you want!

Your venue and church - if using - may have their own coordinators or packages. We just went with those and saw no reason to get and pay another party. If you aren't going with any kind of package I could see a planner helping you to coordinate all of your vendors. Go to all the bridal extravaganzas to get info. If you, your party, family, etc. have a lot of time/are resourceful then you can save yourself some money and not need a planner. Best of luck!

Oh, if you know anyone who had Direct Buy membership you can save about 50% on any papergoods. We got our STDs from our photographer. Yours might "throw those in" too.

thanks to everyone for the advice; i decided to get my cards custom made and ended up getting them from Events on West Gray; the price was actually not as high as other places around houston; so far they've done a great job designing my cards; thanks again!
