I am getting desperate. I really want to be married outside in a park/garden setting. I don't want catering as I have people already volunteering to make food for me, so most golf courses are out. Does anyone know of any quaint garden/park settings?
Howell Nature Center is super nice. The only down fall is they say you can't reserve the garden but I'm sure they never have anything going on there. Also, Keningston park/ lake is really nice and they let you go pretty much anywhere you want.
Cooley Gardens. Reserve the park thru lansing parks & Rec. $25 for 2.5 hour block of time. There is a pavilion there where you could set up the food. We had our ceremony there and had the service under the pavilion because it was a hot, sunny day!
We used Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing. It was perfect for an outdoor ceremony at the gazebo/pavillion and indoor reception in the barn loft. Under 1000 for the whole weekend and you can do your own food/beverages. Only downfall is having to hire security if there is alcohol is present.
