January 2010 ...HELP!

Portsmouth, NH, USA

I am trying to plan a wedding for January 2010 in the Portsmouth area. The problem is, all of the picturesque, beautifully winter wedding venues are 2 hours away and I am seeing many of the Portsmouth wedding venues are outside (ie-specific to summer & fall). Are there any venues in Portsmouth that you know of that are wonderful in the winter?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you kindly - Michelle

Check out the Red Barn At the Outlook Golf coarse in South Berwick its only 20-25 min from Portsmouth and worth the ride. It has a nice lodge feel and its a newer place.

I just attended a wedding reception at The Coastal House in Wells. It's obviously not Portsmouth, but it's within half an hour. They did a really great job hosting the rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception and departure brunch.

Wentworth by the Sea is the best food and service in NH by far. Call them!
