Hi,
July is not the busiest month for weddings so you will likely find some vendors that still have dates open. June, May and October usually go so fast that you need to book at least a year or more out. This year in particular I am seeing more and more last minute bookings so you may just find that you are alright.
First suggestion, find the venue that you like and book them asap, once your date is set with a venue confirmed, get your photographer. I would also suggest a planner at this point to help you expedite things and get good vendors. I can recommend several great venues and planners, just email me if you like ;)

It depends on how soon you are wanting to get married. If it is within the next six months, you can usually find a venue that is not all booked up. However, you may have to do like I did and have to be flexible with the day. For example, my wedding date had to be moved to Sunday Sept. 21st instead of Sat. the 20th because my venue (Twin Cedar Farms) was not available on Saturday.

If your wedding is less than six months away, I would go to local bridal shops and venues that sell wedding supplies and ask for brochures or catalogs from local businesses. Look in the local yellow pages and start calling people now! You may be able to squeeze something in with someone at a reasonable price if you know how to negotiate with the owners.

I agree, you might be surprised to find July doesn't book up as quickly as you think, and Friday or Sunday weddings are becoming more and more popular - and cheaper! Have you tried Ridge Valley Farms in Maryville? They offer a great Friday night wedding package, and have space for an indoor or outdoor ceremony/reception. Top of the Plaza in Maryville also has a great indoor space.

But if you're stressed - you may want to consider letting a wedding planner make all those calls and find available venues, photographers, caters, hair/makeup, etc. for you!
