Wedding in Marblehead, Oh Area. Looking for locations ideas

I'm getting married at the end summer near the Marblehead/Port Clinton/Lakeside area. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions on places to do the rehearsal dinner, ceremony or reception? Also, trying to figure out where out of town guests could stay.

Thanks!

My reception was at St. Mary's Hall in Marblehead. I knew that is where I wanted to be since I was younger, we always had school events and such there. Right next to the lighthouse, beautiful lake front view. Hotel is within walking distance, some people did walk after our wedding :D.

Catawba Island Club is another choice, not sure if you have to be a member. Wesley Lodge in Lakeside would be a good chioce, depending on the timing of your wedding, you have to pay to get into Lakeside during the summer months.

My twin sister is having her reception at Camp Perry Clubhouse. Beautiful space, also on the water, I think they even have a fireplace and room dividers. Only problem is can be canceled at any moment, however I have never heard of that happening to anyone. It is a military base so you need ID (drivers license). I know that you have to have a caterer, you can not do your own food. Also to get in before the day of your event you must pay extra.

Hope this helps!

My wedding is on May 22,and our ceremony is at St. Joseph's Church in Marblehead. Our reception will be at the Catawba Island Club - they have a large tent on a deck overlooking the water, it is a great setting and the food is wonderful. Our rehearsal dinner is at the Nor'easter Club (also great food), but we also looked at Mon Ami, which has a beautiful setting.

We reserved blocks of rooms at various hotels and ended up reserving a shuttle service that stops at 3 hotels -- the main ones we used are the Island House, Holiday Inn and Fairfield Inn.

Good luck!

Cleats! Wings and Beer! Wedding at St. Joseph, Rehearsal at CLeats and Reception at St. Marys. If you are looking to spend a little money Mon Ami is a great choice with awesme but pricy food. Pricy but well worth the cost.
