First, Pick what you are willing to spend more on - location, dress, food - what is most important to you? For your invitations, look for clearance priced invitations in stores (I found mine for $5/50 at Walmart). I bought my flowers wholesale online at www.sunkingwholesale.com - $169/250 white roses - and prepared the bouquets and centerpieces myself. The vases for my centerpieces were all garage sale finds - they didn't match but had a lot of character (and were at most $1 each, mostly less than $.50). I became obsessed with following do-it-yourself blogs online, looking for ideas. And the easiest way to cut price is to cut the guestlist (and the hardest thing to do). There are lots of ideas on the internet on how to cut prices, what you can do yourself, and what you can do to keep your wedding small. Good luck!

i agree. blogs will be your bible! & hobby lobby has been my heaven! or even walmart! also goodwill has tons of stuff for vases for you center pieces! You also like shudon81 says; decided what is a most important; that will make a world of a difference; mine was location & food; so im spending less on my dress; although to my surprise my perfect spot i got insanely cheap; so that left more money for food & extra things. Just sit down & write what you want to spend the most money on & go from there! good luck! & congrats :)

also there is a bridal show in auburn at the museum for ideas! :)

DON'T try to save money on photography. After all the ribbons, invitations, flowers, vases, cake and gown are all put away or tossed. those pictures are what you DO still have.
