First, Pick what you are willing to spend more on - location, dress, food - what is most important to you? For your invitations, look for clearance priced invitations in stores (I found mine for $5/50 at Walmart). I bought my flowers wholesale online at www.sunkingwholesale.com - $169/250 white roses - and prepared the bouquets and centerpieces myself. The vases for my centerpieces were all garage sale finds - they didn't match but had a lot of character (and were at most $1 each, mostly less than $.50). I became obsessed with following do-it-yourself blogs online, looking for ideas. And the easiest way to cut price is to cut the guestlist (and the hardest thing to do). There are lots of ideas on the internet on how to cut prices, what you can do yourself, and what you can do to keep your wedding small. Good luck!
