Advice for "Plan B" in case of rain at Lowell Park???

Love_birds
East Metro Bride-to-be

Hello ~

We are considering a ceremony at Lowell Park Downtown Stillwater, MN; but are curious if anyone knows of a good plan B in case it rains? Tents are so expensive. Thoughts?

Also, any advice about the Water Street Inn and/or other Stillwater area vendors would be helpful (photographer, florist, bakery, etc.)

Thanks!!!

Hi ~ Check out Trellis Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies. Their price includes 200 white chairs along with a beautiful white scalloped canopy in case it rains. They also have 100 double white umbrellas they give to guests at their entrance (the trellis) if it were to rain. www.trellisevents.com

We had a wedding at Trellis as well. It is a beautiful site with a built-in plan B in their chandeliered permanent canopy. I don't know the comparative cost of a tent; the site is not Inexpensive but is worth taking the worry out of an outdoor ceremony.
I would stay away from the Water Street Inn (read our review under the vendor section). Their food was inconsistent at best and their customer service was terrible. They have never responded to our concerns and in fact don't seem to think there were any problems! Our guests were treated rudely during check-in to their rooms as well. A low point in a wonderful day.
We loved Bread Art bakers..very helpful and wonderful cake.

Bearpath Golf and Country Club in Eden Prairie has a gorgeous outdoor Ceremony area with the option to have it inside in case of rain. Bread Arts Bakery is Great, Country Cake Cupboards is great for Wedding Cakes

Hi,

Sounds like lots of good ideas...

If you still need a wedding photographer my discounted rate for Stillwater is $75 per hour. I live just a few miles away in Hugo. Check us out at reimerphoto.com and feel free to call with any questions you may have.
