I can't be sure about all the details you are inquiring about, but the park probably has some sort of fee and you'd have to contact the park directly for that... State and National parks usually have some fee, but normally not too much in comparison to a church or hotel.
As far as I know, They don't really have any vendor packages either... and I've only worked that area from listings and referrals from Wedding Mapper and Google.

I think only if you need an officiant. Of you are having a small wedding might not b an issue. If you. Are having a large wedding, you might want to call the park and recreation.

A permit is required to get married on the beach but there is no cost unless you have more than 100(?) guest. You need to contact Folly Beach County Park. They are very helpful. They have a wonderful shelter (Pelican Watch) with bathrooms, oyster pit, horseshoes, etc. but it is a little pricey. The only problem we had was with the parking. I think from November through March there is no fee but during the peak season the cost is $7 per car. You can buy passes in advance but you have to get them to your guest before they get to the gate. We purchased passes but did not see some of our guest before the ceremony therefore they had to pay for their parking. We would suggest getting married in the morning. Our wedding was at 5:30 pm and the beach was crowded. The park closes at 7 pm. If you have the shelter you can stay until 11 pm. All in all it was a wonderful ceremony and the pictures are great! March is a great time at Folly Beach. We were there to check things out before our wedding and there was no one on the beach. It is a little chilly. The picture is when we were there in March. I would call Folly Beach County Park and get the permit first (no charge). Go to www.acharlestonbeachwedding and check out their packages. We spoke with them and they are very nice. We didn't use them only because we were bringing our own officient and photographer. Congratulations!

does anyone know if you can bring a tent out to the beach for after the wedding and host a reception?

I am pretty sure that is permissable but you should check with the county park to make sure. We set up a small arbor for our ceremony (photo). I know there is a fee if you plan to have more than 100 guest and if you plan to serve alcohol. The park staff is very helpful. Congratulations!

We got married on Folly Beach last year. Like the last couple we use a small arbor for our ceremony. A few chairs as well. I'm not sure what the fees would be if you use their covered area or anything like that. the staff was great.
