Poor customer service. I am still in complete disbelief at the treatment that my now husband and I received from the General Manager of Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch, Raynu Fernanado. My complaints are as follows; he did not listen to our needs, imposed his usual wedding practices that did not accommodate us, very condescending and rude, not detail oriented, and came across as bored and impatient. He was so unprofessional that he quit as my wedding coordinator a few days before the wedding after raising his voice to me with insulting language. I’m not sure what I did to deserve this treatment, I didn’t have any requests that were out of the ordinary, I did ask some questions because no one walked the site with us to explain where anything was going to be set up or where we might want things to be set but regardless no one should be spoken to the way we were and especially after writing a big check.

On the wedding day Judy was pleasant to work with but my fear came true, the little details that I wanted to work out before the wedding day were not discussed so I had to answer questions every five minutes about where things should go and have things moved around 45 minutes before the wedding. I didn’t want to control the little details; I just didn’t want to have to think about them when I wanted to be spending time doing my hair and makeup and enjoying friends and family.

Over all we had a beautiful wedding but it had nothing to do with the location or the help that we received. Well, the lady who served up drinks the night of the wedding and helped us to the suite was amazing, I can’t remember her name but she was just lovely the entire evening. Also, Sara who gave us the tour was very nice and helpful.

It is a very pretty location with good food but there are equally as pretty locations with better prices and much better service. If your heart is set on this location ask to work with Judy from the beginning. Remember, this is your wedding day and you are paying a lot of money to have a full wedding and if you want to control every aspect of your wedding or want to ride down the aisle backwards on a unicycle, your coordinator should say, “How can I help you safely achieve this vision.” On a side note, no one ever apologized to us for the poor treatment and unprofessionalism.

Out of curiosity I have contacted other brides who hosted their wedding there and they got the same treatment but they just sucked it up because they didn’t want to make waves with someone who had such control over their wedding and I have spoken to several event planners who will no longer work there, so I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me or that there wasn’t some underlining conflict that Mr. Fernando might have with us personally due to his perceived idea of our religion or something else. Also, there have been complaints filed with the BBB – I was so upset that I did some research.

Do not book here if you like to be involved in your own wedding and defiantly do not book here if you are a DIY bride.
