Our wedding day was full of love, music and laughter, surrounded by our family and friends. To keep within a tight budget, we DIY'd a lot of projects. I found Wedding Mapper just as I was designing and printing our invites. Since we had a lot of out-of-town guests, Wedding Mapper was such a great tool for them to use.
I can't say enough good things about Chefs 4 Hire! They were so EASY to work with, and the food was outstanding! (Our guests STILL rave about the food, especially the pork tenderloin which was tender, juicy and flavorful. I seriously did not have to stress out about anything; they were the main contact for all the vendors. Despite a tight set up schedule, they had everything arranged and ready in time. The staff was friendly and efficient, and expert at getting dinner served to everyone quickly. I am very pleased, and I highly recommend Chefs 4 Hire!
We hired a 3-piece for happy hour and dinner, and a friend DJ'd the rest. We hired Vertical Sound to handle the sound system. These guys are the absolute best! They provide great sound system AND a sound engineer (Gary) who knows what he's doing. Besides at our reception, I've seen and heard Vertical Sound at local music events and music clubs, and they are THE go-to guys if you need sound, lighting, or staging done right.
If you're looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue, look no further. Very affordable and conveniently located for both East and West siders. I did not want a venue that looked like a "wedding venue" (you know, ugly mauve draperies, wallpapered walls, ornate/fussy lighting) and this fit the bill: I loved its clean, modern architecture/lighting, wall of windows, the soaring cathedral ceiling, all in a park like setting. The views of the sunset over the lake during our ceremony were beautiful! Because our ceremony and reception were both held here, we were able to walk to the lakefront out back and have pictures taken at sunset. The outdoor courtyard would be perfect for your ceremony (weather permitting, of course!)
The kitchen is a caterer's dream: well-equipped with clean, stainless steel appliances and plenty of
work space.
A word of caution, though: if you anticipate a loud, raucous, rowdy reception crowd, find another venue. We had no problems at ours but please remember residents live close by and might not appreciate hearing late night revelers or loud music.
Tuscany offered delicious food at very reasonable prices, and the staff made planning a breeze. I loved the clean, modern decor and quiet ambience. If the weather had permitted, they would have set us up in the picturesque, outdoor courtyard; since it was a cool night, they instead put our party of 16 in the glass atrium. It gave us the privacy we needed. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
