Our May wedding in Hawaii was everything we wanted it to be. The weather was amazing the whole time we were there! Everyone we worked with was very helpful and great. Our friends and family had a fabulous time and we are still getting compliments on it. We can't wait to come back to Hawaii to visit.
Katy was great! She was very helpful in finding and recommending vendors. She always was really quick to respond to emails and calls. She kept me on track with my planning. A coordinator is a must for a destination wedding! Katy was awesome!
I was so happy with the flowers from Flower Farm. I gave them the general idea of colors and flowers I wanted to use and they made the most beautiful arrangements. They lasted forever. We ended up leaving them at the hotel because they still looked amazing. I would definitely recommend Flower Farm.
I was blown away by Fisheye Studios. We scaled down our photography/videography package and still had 2 photographers and 2 videographers. They were so professional and had an unbelievable amount of equipment. We had so much fun taking pictures. They even stayed a little late to make sure that they got everything. I haven't gotten them back yet, but I can't wait to see them. I felt like a celebrity!
I was so happy with Kalehua's services. We met with him the day before the wedding. He went over the whole ceremony and answered a lot of our questions. We were looking for a more traditional Hawaiian ceremony and he delivered. It was not only our wedding but my in-laws anniversary and he renewed their vows after our ceremony impromptu. I would definitely recommend Kalehua.
We also had our reception in the Pavilion. It was perfect for a small group. We didn't feel crowded or cramped. The food was AMAZING. I wish I could have taken it to go. The staff was helpful and easy to work with. They made the day go by very smooth.
The Turtle Bay Resort Pavilion was a gorgeous place to have our ceremony. We had the ceremony right outside the pavilion. It was sunny and beautiful. It provided a great spot for pictures and to watch the sunset.
We got tickets to the PCC through our travel package. The luau was fun and the food was okay. The show after was so cool! It gave the history of the PCC and they threw a lot of fire. It was fun to experience.
The Arizona is a must see when you go to Oahu. It is a first come first served on tickets so go a little early or in the afternoon for tickets. The whole memorial is so well done and beautiful. The other pieces of the memorial - The Bowfin, the Missouri, and the Aviation Museum - are also must sees.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Cholos. I loved the food and the atmosphere. We ate there on our wedding scouting trip and knew we wanted to eat there when we came back. It is fun and has great margaritas! Don't forget your ID!
The story behind Pizza Bob's is fun. It is a great alternative to the other restaurants around. You can even order half pizzas. Check for coupons in the hotel books/maps.
Haleiwa Joe's was pretty normal restaurant fare. They had great outdoor dining that overlooked the ocean. The lemonade cocktail was great! The portions were very generous as well.
The park was gorgeous. You have to pay to get in but it is worth it. It is a short walk to the falls and you can even go swimming in them. We rented mopeds and it was a perfect way to get to the falls.
