Vivian's cakes are amazing! Not only do they taste wonderful, but they look beautiful as well. I am a little bit of a cake snob and usually hate the boring dried up white wedding cake with gelatinous fruit filling. Azucar's cakes were just the thing for me. They have your classic cake flavors (e.g., red velvet, chocolate, carrot cake, etc.) but with an interesting twist. Stop by the bakery and try out some of thier cupcakes they sell in the wedding cake flavors. To die for!
I don't know if you could ask for a better place for a wedding! The views are phenomenal from every spot and the natural wood of the building glows at sunset. The event managers were awesome and very accomodating. You do have to bring in all of your own things (e.g., tables, chairs, caterer, etc.), but that gives you the freedom to control the costs more than at one of those packaged places. Tip: Even if the online calendar says they are "busy" around the date you want, call them anyway because the date may just be on hold and not yet fully booked.
The hotel was beautiful! The lobby area is very elegant and classy and the rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Since we booked more than 10 rooms on our wedding night, we got a free upgrade to a spa suite, which was amazing! The only downside was tha they usually only had one person working the valet, which meant that you could wait 15 to 20 minutes to pick up or drop off your car.
I have been goign to this salon for over 10 years, but have never gotten an updo or had my makeup done. Katie and Quianna did an amazing job on me and on my bridesmaids.
