Holy Saviour has been my church since I was born. I was christened there, received my first holy communion, reconciliation and confirmation there as well. My grandparents were married there and my parents were married there along with everyone else in my family. Holy Saviour is the most beautiful church. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else.
We looked into Spring Mill Banquet Hall for two reasons: We heard it was beautiful and we heard that the price was right. When we visited there, both were true. This fire hall does not look like your typical fire hall, it looks like a beautiful ballroom that comes with a fire hall price tag. My only complaint about the place is that the organizer, Jim told us that the venue fit 225 people but our 175 guests at the reception were a bit too tightly packed. This venue probably sits 150 people comfortably.
The Hyatt Summerfield Suites was a great place to have our overnight guests stay. The rooms are large and spacious and have modern decor in them. The single room suites had a queen bed, bathroom and then a lounge area with a couch, sink, cabinets and refrigerator. The double room suites had the same amenities as the single but had the addition of another queen bed, which are each in their own room.
I had to practically beg the people there to give me 20 rooms. I knew I would book more than that but they wouldn't give me any more than 20. They told me they would give me more rooms when the rooms they set aside for me booked up. Needless to say they did not. By 4 months before the wedding, most of the rooms were booked. I called to see if I could get some more rooms. They told me they were sold out for the weekend because of a dog show. I had no notice whatsoever. I was frustrated to say the least they they didn't have the common courtesy to even call me. A lot of my guests ended up not getting rooms because of this.
The shuttle for your guests for free. The only problem here was that the shuttle only fit 12 people. With 20 rooms booked (single and double) this was not going to accommodate our guests. We solved the problem by getting our own school bus to shuttle guests to the hotel.
All in all the Hyatt was a nice hotel for our guests to stay at but the customer service could have been better.
