Absolutely incredible food, and Norma was such a warm woman with whom to plan the event. The staff was just fantastic and took great care of us. We heard from many guests that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. We chose to go with the Southern/Soul food route, and it was just delicious. Very well priced as well. We couldn't have been happier.
It's such a beautiful garden with special significance for us. Our monitor was just lovely. The one downside was that, two days before the wedding, they told us that we couldn't have any amplification of any kind. That's sort of the downside of having an event in a public, community setting I guess. Not a huge deal, but we had a soul singer, and it was not great for her.
In some ways this place was perfect, but there were some major problems with communication. It was worth it because the location was ideal and their rooftop was a nice gathering place for family, but we had several folks who were told the wrong rates when they called or were told that there wasn't a block reserved. Very annoying. Also, some guests found the rooms too small. Very small rooms, but clean.
Wonderful. Obviously, more pricey, but beautiful rooms, and they let us take over the guest lounge on our wedding night for an impromptu after-party. That was obviously somewhat a matter of luck, but it was just perfect.
