Because it deals solely in vintage jewelry, Gilt has established itself as the place to go for couples who want to represent their love with something a little less mainstream. All rings date from Victorian (1880) to Depression era (1940), so customers are sure to get a ring with a style and past that no one has. The staff offers useful advice without being pushy.
The food was fantastic! It was BBQ Brisket with sides and grilled veggies made on the spot. The plates were heaping. Julie is a riot.
Bryan does candids - not those staged formal ones everyone gets. He also uses both new, vintage, and toy cameras to get a variety of artistic and lovely shots. We got both B&W and Color. He's also a sweetheart to work with.
Awesome wood grain tubes filled with a poster to hang. Custom made and very original.
Carisa was a real joy to work with. She knew just what I wanted, before I even did. The bouquets were amazing.
I asked for something different and they brought me the perfect dress - San Patrick "Recife", a crocheted dress from Spain. The alterations lady was TOP NOTCH. I'd have given them four stars for my personal experience, but I've hard so many bad stories from Brides and employees who used to work there - I can't recommend them.
Fancy and cozy vintage hotel in downtown Portland. While the hotel was lovely, they didn't make us feel very special on our most important day.
It turned out great even though it was a 98 degree day. Farmer Don put out a huge sprinkler so that it would cool off the reception site. I will say that using their preferred caterer was too expensive for us. We had to buy them out at $500 and then find our own. It was kind of a pain but our caterer we found was excellent. We had to plan it all oursleves which actually made it feel more like us anyway.
