Our wedding could not have been better! We had great weather (luckily) and everyone we worked with did a wonderful job. The new seating chart tool from weddingmapper.com was very handy!
Everyone wished it didn't have to end; we all had a terrific time. A lot of that was due to the phenomenal staff at Zukas Hilltop Barn. My husband and I live in Savannah, GA so I don't know what we would've done without Alison to make it all come together. You can't go wrong with any of the vendors we used. So grateful we made the choices we did!
PS - If you're looking for a fall wedding in New England, the first week of November is a great time. A lot of vendors will drop their prices just after the end of October as it is considered "off season." You will find that a vendor may be too pricey during their peak wedding times, but very affordable from November through March. A little research goes a long way! Happy planning. :)
Greg was fantastic. He was very good at reading the crowd but consulted us before playing any requests that he thought we may not like. Highly recommended!
Scott is such an outstanding photographer. We wanted a less traditional style for our pictures and he was the perfect fit. (Scott is more of a photojournalist than a portrait photographer.) Scott and his assistant were hardly noticed during the ceremony and reception. Since he had previously worked at our venue he knew a lot of great spots and how to light them. My family raved about the slideshow he created and had a very hard time deciding which pictures should go in their albums! Scott is very warm and kind and very experienced. His prices are also very reasonable for the quality you receive. Scott really made our perfect day even better.
The whole staff was easy to work with and very friendly. Alison in particular did an outstanding job coordinating our set-up and making sure everything went smoothly. The food was fantastic as well. All our guests had a great time.
We held our rehearsal dinner at Rovezzi's. They have a wonderful loft area for private parties which can accommodate about 25 people. They did a great buffet and the food was excellent as always. Rovezzi's offers a varied selection of mostly Italian dishes. The staff is easy to work with, especially the owner/head chef Chris Rovezzi.
Most of my guests stayed at this hotel. Their rates were almost half of the other hotels in the area. A clean motel and easy to deal with. Would recommend them as a good alternative to the other area hotels.
