We had a blast at our wedding. Everything came together perfectly and everyone had fun. We had a small wedding, around 85 people, mostly family with a few good friends. We did a lot of things ourselves, including the flower arranging from flowers we ordered online with a lot of help from Tim's cousin.
Barb was awesome. We knew her from being a DJ at team trivia and she incorporated a mini trivia that people enjoyed. She played an excellent mix of music and many more people than I expected were dancing. It was a blast.
This is a beautiful venue. It's a modern meeting room with kitchen attached with an enclosed walkway to a Victorian home. Many, many photo opportunities. It's a maximum of 100 people, including vendors. They have some tables and chairs provided, but everything else needs to be brought in yourself. You have to organize all the vendors. The venue was reasonably priced ($350 or so for 6 hours), but they're very strict about the times you rent, and usually don't let you set up the day before, so keep that in mind.
This is my church, so I'm a bit biased. But it's a lovely sanctuary and we didn't need to do much to decorate it. It's fairly small, so it's nice for a smaller wedding.
Many people stayed at this hotel. It was the closest to our venues and very inexpensive. It's an older motel, so it's understandably not a top of the line place. But they were very accomodating and helpful.
We had a group rate, but nobody stayed here except my husband and I the night of the wedding. They still honored the group rate and upgraded us to the penthouse suite. It was great!
Only a few people stayed here, and they still honored the group rate. My family members were pleased with it.
