Laura and Justin 's Wedding

This place it the best! My mother and I checked out all competitor locations (CBBC and Kent Manor) and this place was by far the best in price and location. Taylor the coordinator was phenomenal. More then once I stopped by to tour the location with different family members. Taylor was always there and more then willing to answer any questions we had. We booked May of 2009 for a April 2010 wedding. During this time frame of booking the space and the actual date of the event, there was both a change in chef and the location went though a huge renovation. Both changes were again phenomenal in seamless transition and certainly an upgrade in decor-I liked it when we booked it! Our original menu was upgraded and the interior space was opened up more and painted a lighter color. I was lucky enough to be the first bride to christen the renovations. Rehearsal went great the day before. Taylor was a great guide on where to be and when to do what. Our minister was not able to attend the rehearsal but it really made no difference with her guidance. The day of our wedding was perfect!! I arrived early and changed into my dress there with my bridesmaids. The house boat (yes, house boat! no extra change, sitting room, sink, mini refrigerator and full bathroom) had wine and cheese and more h'ordeurves awaiting us when we arrived and the staff frequently checked on us to see if we needed anything. The ceremony was on the lawn over looking bay. Overcast but still beautiful! Dinner was one of the best meals I have ever had at a wedding (guest also expressed this). I can not express how many compliments we have received about our wedding. Everyone we have seen since our wedding has given numerous compliments on how outstanding the food was and how amazing the location was. Taylor and her team surpassed all my expectations.

***Side note: Since our wedding an old friend from high school by coincidence was married at the Silver Swan. He too expressed how great the venue and staff were on their big day. AND a co-worker is also getting married there in May 2011.
