Ellie and Christopher's Wedding
Getting married in Cornwall by the sea had been our dream since getting engaged, and it really was the most incredible day. Polhawn Fort is a magical venue, especially if you stay there as you wake up to look out over a green lawn right down to the breaking waves below. Our wedding was South West inspired with most of our food, drink etc coming from the region and was a resounding success with our city friends!

Tony Crooks runs a brilliant bar service. He will provide whatever beer/ cider you want on tap and since you only pay a standing set up fee is really good value.

The food from English Table is excellent and we would highly recommend the canapes which were outstanding. The service you get from Hilary is great and she will ensure everything runs to plan! Also, the best vegetarian option we have ever tasted!

Bells Brides are well priced and produce excellent results, but they are also incredibly friendly and flexible to take away all the stress!

The staff here are all really friendly and will let you try on as many dresses as you need without getting shirty. Friends had nightmares getting their dresses altered properly but mine was pretty much perfect from the measurements they took so there was only the tiniest alteration.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. The Fort is the ultimate romantic venue for a wedding and when it is bathed in sunshine it is the epitome of idyllic. The staff are all friendly and will do anything to make your day perfect but the building and grounds speak for itself in making it the best place to have your reception.
