A September evening wedding in St. Louis is definitely recommended because the weather is almost always perfect. For us, was planned on a (quick) sweet and simple ceremony, and focused most of our efforts on the reception (party!). Take our advice - "stalk" many venues before you book. It took one Saturday night drive-by while a reception was in progress for us to know the Palm House was perfect for us, it comes to life at night. The glow of the lily ponds, the lighting inside the patio tent - stunning! Definitely have a plan B for rain though, inside only holds 150 tightly for dinner with no room for dancing. It was well worth the risk and we are still getting compliments on it! Most of our attendees didn't even know it was there, which is very cool that we were able to introduce them to this hidden gem.
The best hidden treasure in St. Louis. We mazimized the space available (it fit 150 tightly inside) by adding a tent on the patio for dancing. Of course, we lucked out by having a crisp, clear night (if it had rained, dancing would have been awkward). It was stunning, wouldn't change a thing!
Beautiful and simple non-denomenational setting. Their staff is extremely helpful.
Newly remodeled and first class. Only downside is the small rooms - go for the upgrade and get the King Arch view, you won't regret it. Those rooms are enormous.
Clean, new, fresh and cozy. Oh, and don't forget about the free "social hour" and hot appetizer bar! They even have a heated/ac garage that is free for guests.
