The day did not start out well. There were still many little details to attend to and I was a bit nervous. Our wedding wasn't scheduled to begin until 5:30 so I knew there was plenty of time to get things done, however, I had put so much time into planning this event that I wanted it to be just right. Me and my Maid of Honor went out to do errands and around 2:30 it started to cloud up, then it began to lightning, then it POURED-for the first time it had rained in 3 weeks!! Of course I was beside myself and burst into tears. Fortunately, my soon to be husband, with his voice of stoic reason, calmed me down enough so that I could get to the venue in time to get ready for the ceremony. As I walked into the Porcher House I saw that the Photographer Mr. Auman and his wife Cathy showed up early just to make sure I was ok and to instruct me on what to do in case it rained; Anthony the caterer was in the kitchen overseeing that the chefs and waiters were in line and the Prime Rib was cooked to perfection; Rosa, his wife, had set the tables elegantly with Ivory tablecloths, lace underskirts and gold chargers and was diligently securing the Coral colored bows on the backs of the chairs to make sure all were consistent; Christy the florist was arranging the spectacular tall glass vase centerpeices filled with White Orchids , Peach Roses and White Starfish as her husband was in the front hall securing the Ivory tulle and garland to the banister; The cake ladies had seen to it that our delicious 2 layer cake had arrived enveloped in ivory fondant with shimmering pearl borders crowned with a tiny glittering Sandcastle in flawless condition; My 3 best girlfriends had placed my gown, headpiece and bouquet carefully across the loveseat upstairs in the changing room; and finally -after hair and makeup, when I put on my wedding gown and saw my Hairstylist, Maid of Honor, and 3 best girlfriends had tears in their eyes-I breathed a total sigh of relief and KNEW that it was going to be the wedding I had dreamed of. I felt like these people REALLY cared not only about our wedding, but about US. I felt so HAPPY!! And then.... the Sun came out!!! We had the best day anyone could ask for -thanks to all our wonderful vendors and our amazing family and friends.
Excellent job- we had a very non traditional crowd and the DJ kept the music flowing
Cannot say enough about these people. Husband and wife team, Mr Auman is an excellent photographer and captured all the right moments, Mrs Auman is a notary public and performed a beautiful personal sand ceremony. Highly recommend!
Christy is amazing and worked with our budget. She is truly an artist and extremely professional. My bouquet was stunning and she made our wedding reception look exactly the way we had pictured it with white orchids and pale peach roses -just beautiful!
MJ came to the hall and did our hair-she has been my stylist for a few years. MJ is wonderful, very professional and always does and amazing job on my hair!
I had such a bad experience with A local vendor who runs her shop like a used car salesman-that I decided to go to Casa di Bella on a friends recommendation. The owner, Sue, treats you like family and is wonderful at helping you to get the dress of your dreams-love this shop, you are the only person in the fitting room and it is very private and elegant.
These women are great at their craft. Not only do the cakes taste great by they look like a work of art.
These people are truly amazing. Tony makes sure that every bit of food is cooked to perfection and presented in an aesthetic fashion, his wife takes care of all the little details, the glassware, silverware, tablecloths etc. They are a professional, hard working team and I was so grateful to have them-the food was excellent-everyone raved about it!
Renee is a lovely helpful woman who does her best to get the most elegant invitations at the most affordable price.
Lisa could not have been more understanding and helpful in helping to arrange our date. She is such a great person and pointed me in the right direction for my vendors. All of the vendors work together so well that our wedding was perfect. The Porcher house itself is such a quaint and elegant place to have a small wedding. It felt like home and my family and friends loved it.
