Our wedding was just perfect for us! The fall day was just a little chilly and windy, but full of sun. I wouldn't have changed a thing that day... except for the photographer, maybe. The Geneva area is simply gorgeous during the fall. St. Mark's church is beautiful; Father Mark did a wonderful ceremony. Prairie Landing was a beautiful venue, but the customer service area can use some help. Planning wasn't so seamless with Prairie Landing.
Beautiful job! Just what I wanted at an idealistic price. I was so confident with Jenna right from the start. She brought so many ideas to the table, and really knew her flowers... It made the decision-making process easy.
Our photos were just made viewable online. I have to admit I'm way less than thrilled. Our photographer had a wonderful personality, and moved the picture-taking process along... So I thought it was going so well the day of the wedding. But, now that I see the proofs, the lighting is off, some of the poses are just awkward, and the backgrounds he chose are not the best... etc. There are enough that will make a decent album, but nothing that I'm too excited about.
Great! Kept the party going! Plays as many favorites as you want... he'll even switch-up the song if the dance floor starts to clear... which didn't happen at our wedding! He really wants to make your event special and as unique to you as you want. He stays on top of the evening's schedule.
A beautiful, historic-looking trolley with wooden interiors, and a richer, very classic cranberry red color. Way more fun for the wedding party than limos!
Ask for Phoebe to do your hair! She did a wonderful job, and really listened to me. The staff was great to book my wedding party's appointments to suit my needs.
The venue is beautiful, but the customer service needs some work. They really try to nickel-and-dime you. They also make early promises and don't deliver... such as providing candles for hurricanes, providing votives ILO tea lights, allowing for items to be picked-up the morning after... the little things. It was also a major deal for them to hang italian lights in tulle above doorways - this was also an early promise, but then they acted like they were doing me such a huge favor by doing it for me. But, at least the wedding day went smoothly. (I only realized later in photos that they ordered the wrong table clothes! And they were $35 a piece!!)
