It has been over a month now and people are still talking about how fun our wedding was. We wanted an outside wedding with a view fitting of San Diego, and we got just that. The wedding was my style: simple elegance. We had flowers and shells, but let the scenery do most of the decorating. There were a lot of children at our wedding and they had as much fun as the adults. It was an amazing wedding, the first day of an amazing married life.
Souplantation was wonderful to work with. There was so much food for a good price, and the menu was easy to customize. Ellis, the catering manager, really went out of his way to make sure we had a nice looking spread.
The flowers were pretty, but I did not get the changes made on my order. We didn't have all the corsages we expected and there wasn't enough for the aisle decor and no petals for the flower girls.
They are great photographers, they really know what they are doing. I wished I had gotten a few shots that I didn't, but that is my fault for not conveying that information. They are high energy, fun people, and made my photo-hating groom comfortable (even eager) taking pictures.
Brenda and her staff were amazing bringing everything together the day of the wedding. She was helpful in guiding my planning as we went along. Having her was a great stress reliever to know everything was under control. Brenda knows this location like the back of her hand and it was great to have that experience as well.
Ocean View Villas is a great place for those wanting the wedding to be more than just a day. Being able to spend the weekend with the wedding party and family who stayed at the villas was amazing. It was just what we wanted, and choosing it for our venue was an easy decision to make.
