We had a beautiful beach wedding on Jungle Hut Road Beach. A small public beach; very secluded and not too crowded. Our friends and family went early to stake out the site and the ceremony backdrop was absolutely divine. The tide had come in but stopped just before our arch and seats. It was a perfect 72 degrees, light wind, and just enough sunshine for a serene evening wedding. We kept it semi casual, and our guests wore simple sundresses and hawaiian shirts. I went barefoot most of the day in a sheer A line corset gown from Maggie Sottero. It had a weightless feeling like I was floating and enough tulle to give it an ethereal vibe. My veil was made from the overlay of my mothers wedding gown and my shoes were custom made to match the colors of the wedding each with a crystal starfish adorning the side. The flowers were light and beachy, and complimented the setting around them. The music consisted of swung versions of songs my husband and I loved, and played by our family and friends on ukulele and clarinet. Our ceremony was simple, and included excerpts from our favorite literature, as well as a libation unity ceremony. The reception was a golf club, with huge windows and open airy spaces for guests to enjoy the sunset and the ocean breeze, right on the intercoastal river. The food was light but also flavorful. Our dessert bar was the main attraction, filled with fresh baked macarons, pie, and an ice cream sundae bar. We also had a special craft beer and cigar bar outside on the patio which the guests enjoyed, along with my husband and father. The playlist was an interesting mix of classic oldies, some newer stuff, with a bit of bluegrass/folky tunes. At the end of the night, most of the bridal party gathered on our limo shuttle to go to the after party at our rental house. Requests for N'Sync and Backstreet Boys among other very important 90s songs were made, and Careless Whisper became the theme song for the evening.
Working with Stephanie at the beginning to book our wedding was very easy. She got back to us quickly and was always able to answer any of our questions! Vern was fantastic and so prepared. All we had to do was give him the info for the event and he was there, exactly where he needed to be!!! He also let us add an hour on to our day since we didn't want to end the party so quickly. He was a blast and if we know anyone else getting married in the area, we'll be sure to refer them to Pyramid DJs! They're the best around for sure!
All About Events was a pleasure to work with from the beginning when we booked and the day of our wedding. Constance, Eve, and Nicole were all very helpful when we were figuring out the logistics of where everything would go. The guys who came out to set it all up were on time, and had it exactly how I imagined. The scene was perfect, and they were very understanding about waiting a little extra time before breaking down the ceremony.
Rochelle worked with me on all the flowers and understood my vision. She was patient when I was confused about something or changed my mind, and she was a blast to work with. We were originally not going to have flowers but then decided to get them, so Rochelle made that process much simpler and the day of the wedding they were gorgeous, exactly how I'd envisioned them to be!
Not only is Paul a great friend of mine, but he is a phenomenal photographer. We already knew this from seeing his work online through social media, but when he shot our wedding, he was able to capture some very intimate and personal moments that we didn't even realize he captured until after. He also has a wonderful way with people who are not as comfortable with the camera. My husband in particular has always been camera shy, but Paul helped him come out of his shell for some beautiful pictures. We highly recommend working with Paul for any special event or even family portraits and headshots. His work is so versatile and you won't be disappointed!
Austin and Mary are probably the coolest people to work with. When we first booked them we talked on the phone for about 1.5 hours, and only about 20 minutes of that was about the wedding itself! When you meet them, they are immediately your friends, the kind who you don't see too often , mostly on special occasions, but you pick up where you left off. We felt so relaxed with them filming, and they both had this ability to be there and not be there at the same time. The drone camera they use is also super cool, and something so unique compared to any other videographer you'll meet. We highly recommend going with Austin and Mary for your next event, the service and quality is beyond compare, and you'll gain two friends from the experience!
We worked with Jeri Harper from start to finish for 8 months all the way from Connecticut. Since it was a destination wedding there was a lot to cover before we could even see the venue in person. She was wonderful and always able to get back to us with anything. We went in with a vision for the day and Jeri, Carrie and their team gave us more than we could have hoped for! We had a lot of decoration and special additions to our menu and cocktail hour that could get overwhelming, but Jeri had everything organized and I was able to enjoy being a bride for the whole day. I didn't worry about anything!
Janice Nickols helped us block off the rooms for our guests. She was super flexible with how many we reserved and was willing to help us in any way. She even had staff give out our welcome bags to guests when they arrived and she sent us a thank you note when we returned home from the wedding.
