Greg and Heidi are an amazing team, both professionally and personally. They are husband and wife and work so well together.
I'm a photographer myself, so booking a photographer was a big decision for us. We loved Greg's work so much, we booked him over a year before the wedding and before we even had a venue. We had a date, and said "we're not sure yet where you'll be going, but please be our wedding photographer."
The images speak for themselves. To see the blog post from our wedding: http://gregorypaul.typepad.com/gregory_paul_photographer/2009/04/wedding.html
I found a cake that I loved in a magazine and was very excited to find out that it was from a bakery that was fairly close to West Palm.
Edda's has several locations in Dade and Broward county and will deliver cakes to West Palm for an additional fee. Although we didn't get to eat any of our cake at the wedding after we fed each other the initial piece, it was DELICIOUS and we can't wait to eat more of it on our first anniversary.
We decided to have a videographer at the last minute and after a bit of research, we found Marty and Kenya from Reinhardt Productions. Another husband and wife team that work very well together. We got our wedding DVD back less than a month after our wedding, and we are thrilled with it. They captured all the great parts of the wedding, and even got some touching words from our guests.
We love our wedding DVD and highly recommend Reinhardt Productions. They are very reasonably priced, and they did an amazing job!
Please do not judge them by their website, they are FABULOUS DJ's. We used Josh who came highly recommended by the event planners at our venue. I'd never met him before the wedding day, in fact my mom was the only one who'd had contact with him. I completed an informational list that they'd e-mailed me, and that was all I had to worry about.
Nancy, the owner of the company called me a few days before the wedding to go over everything, and they did an amazing job on the wedding day.
Josh and his assistant did an amazing job of keeping the party going, and all our guests had an amazing time. We all danced so much, my husband and I had sore legs for the first three days of our honeymoon!
Great DJs!!! If you book them you will NOT regret it, I promise you!
We had our ceremony and our reception at Ibis Country Club. Our ceremony was outdoors, and it was lovely. We took pictures for a few hours before the wedding and for an hour after the ceremony, and the grounds gave us such a lovely backdrop to work with.
The best part of having a wedding at Ibis is the fact that you get two event planners to help you. They'll handle all the deliveries that need to be made for the wedding day (cake, chairs, chair covers, etc.) and they set everything up for you. We didn't have to worry about a thing the entire day, because we knew it was covered.
They provide all the linens/plates/etc. for you so you don't have to worry about renting any of that. Their catering is out of this world, and the per person price you pay includes food and open bar, which is sure to be a hit with your guests.
You'll love having your wedding here because unlike other venues where you have to rent a specific part of a building, you have access to the entire country club and you don't have to worry about any other weddings going on at the same time as yours.
The hotel did everything they could to make sure that we were happy and the same went for our guests. The hotel has happy hour every day with free drinks and snacks from 5-7pm, and that was a big hit with our college/grad school friends :) The rooms are very spacious, and everyone enjoyed staying there.
They have swans swimming in a pond in the lobby, which was a great touch!
The food was good, but the seating was a little confusing. It would've been better if we'd assigned seats, but we managed. We ended up pulling tables together, getting extra chairs, etc.
We wanted to show a slideshow at the rehearsal dinner, and they provided us with the equipment to do so for a small fee (I think it was $100). We just brought our laptop and hooked it up to their equipment and we were good to go.
After the dinner was over, some of us went next door to Club Safari, which we'd never gone to (although we both grew up in Palm Beach County) but we had a great time!
