Our wedding was a dream come true! Getting married in La Jolla was the best decision we made - there was so much for our guests to do, places to stay, and everybody loved the beautiful destination. October was perfect, the weather was mild, warm enough during the day, but cooler at night, although we did not need heaters (most guests wore a shawl or jacket). I loved using Wedding Mapper and sent out a link to our guests several times with updated locations and even posted the link on our wedding website - it was a great resource to share with our guests that made it easy for them to navigate their own way around for our wedding weekend activities! We'd highly recommend using it!
Renee was wonderful to work with and Michele was very accommodating to our needs and budget. Everyone RAVED about our wedding food, said it was the best they'd ever had!
The gardens and courtyards were beautifully lit by white twinkle lights which made our reception even more gorgeous and our guests were in awe.
Clay's Bar and restaurant upstairs was an amazing post wedding party spot for us and our guests ~ the rooms are very nice but noticed a few "unfinished" spots in the rooms (ie the shower leaked into the room, there were some pipes exposed, etc.) Overall a little overpriced for the whole experience, but worked out well with location and as a nice bridal suite to get ready in!
Very accommodating, friendly, and professional staff. The rooms and hotel facilities were nice and practical and very economical~ many of our guests stayed here and said it was perfect!
A beautiful resort, a bit farther from our wedding activities, but our guests got a great rate of $99 per night!
We did bagels in the park - it was a casual and easy location for our guests to come say hello/goodbye the morning after our wedding. Of course the beautiful views of the ocean and La Jolla are great! I would recommend this to anyone wanting an economical, relaxed and fairly easy morning after brunch. Our guests trickled over to the park for about 2-3 hours.
