The gazebo was a wonderful, affordable choice for our ceremony; however, it was a very hot August day. The Dunbar Eagles was a great space with great staff. I would not recommend Pechin Firehouse Catering to my worst enemy. Overall and in the end, it was a fun day, and we're just happy to be together.
Very easy to work with, make great suggestions for those who are indecisive. Affordable, great incentives.
Set-up crew arrived late, spilled food in the delivery truck, brought the wrong order of chicken, and had no idea where to set up the chafers and roasters, though there was a clearly designated space. A couple of our GUESTS who had arrived at the reception venue early had to set up our buffet. They did not send enough dinnerware, causing one of the aforementioned guests to call for them to bring more. Also, they did not inform us that we had to specially request servers to change the buffet trays; therefore, my brother, a groomsmen, and mother had to change the trays as they emptied, resulting in my mother sitting down to a cold meal.
Mike is a nice person and comes prepared with a large selection of music. He is well-organized and motivated. He accepts "Must Play" and "Do Not Play" lists and sticks to them. His assistant, however, is ignorant and plays whatever is requested from anyone, regardless of whether or not it is a special song or a "do not play" song.
Very, very easy to work with and extremely affordable! She's been making cakes for a long time! I showed her a reference picture and explained the changes I'd like, and she could not have made our cake look more perfect. It was also the most delicious cake I've ever had.
Cindy is an amazing florist who has been in the business for a long time. When I turned up with disastrous reception vases (no thanks to a co-worker) three days before the wedding, she did everything that she could to make them look great. My and the bridesmaids bouquets, the groom and groomsmen's bouttonieres, and the corsages were lovely. One bouquet lasted for several months after the wedding!
Costly, but worth every penny! She will do everything in her power to make your day amazing. Her bubbly personality is very crowd pleasing and motivating. She knows how to make and take the best shots.
Pat's has been in business for over 25 years for a reason. She and her staff are very attentive to your wishes. If she doesn't have it, she can get it (and at a great price).
The fans that we ordered fell apart - a negative for our guests on that hot day. Everything else that we ordered was great.
Got my manicure and pedicure here. They pamper you like no other place does, but they don't do acrylic nails.
Great for small, outdoor ceremonies. Semi-secluded, gorgeous for pictures, very affordable. You will need to rent or borrow chairs and clean/sweep the park/pavement on your own.
Great staff, large space, affordable. Must be or know a member to rent the space.
