Our wedding was so much fun. My husband and I themed our wedding around Brooklyn & dogs. We had mostly local vendors and friends help design and pull together the entire wedding. We even saved on transportation by having ourselves + our bridal party use public subway transportation to commute from the ceremony location to the reception. We had a small guest list, 85 people, and pulled off a cosy romantic wedding.
FANTASTIC PHOTOGRAPHER! We wanted a documentary style photographer who could perfectly capture the day. Whimsical and bright, Levi's photography is incredible. He himself was an amazing person and we were very comfortable doing both our engagement and wedding photos with Levi.
I was searching for local Brooklyn invitation cards but could not find any I liked until I saw Hae Ink's work through a friend's recommendation. Hae-In is a freelancer who does all kinds of invitation cards. For our wedding, she took time out to listen to my personal ideas. She translated my entire idea onto paper and it resulted in the most unique hand-crafted invitation card. It was so special to have something my husband and I designed together. Her work is eloquent and smart. Her rates are extremely cheap next to any other wedding invitation vendor, HANDS DOWN. I highly recommend Hae-In.
Our ceremony was at the historic Brooklyn Unitarian Church in Brooklyn Heights. It was a beautiful church and although my husband and I don't attend church there, we were welcomed warmly into their congregation...they took great care of us!
We chose to rent out the entire restaurant on a Saturday night. They have a beautiful garden out back. Guests were raving about Bacchus all night....it's a beautiful and romantic place and if you want a cosy & intimate wedding, this is the place for you!
