Our wedding was incredible. We've had so many guests tell us that they were still thinking how great it was until 1 week later. We felt we hired the best team for the job. Our videographer and photographer were both excellent and while remaining professional the whole time, they were hardly noticeable at the hotel and the ceremony. Our ceremony was beautiful in the colors white, gold, and moss green. Our reception was a blast as we hired excellent DJs and had an awesome video to entertain our guests. Our parents are probably biased but we invited some of their friends to our wedding, who aren't biased, and they said that they felt they were in a dream. Wedding Mapper was great because many of our guests came in from out of town because they did not live locally and this really helped them find their way. I'm so glad that they were all there and could share our special day with us.
WOW.WOW.WOW. We were blown away by the love story video and can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for our wedding highlights and full length videos. I'm so glad that I happened to stumble across your name on one of the many wedding blogs. You have a talent that no words can describe and Nick and I think you should just move to Hollywood already. The lighting, the sound, the editing were perfect and we love that it was all in HD! The fact that you were able to capture our true personalities on film was remarkable. There were some guests that had not met me or Nick until that day and that video, we were told, made them see how Nick and I were perfect for each other.
Alex has such a soft and caring nature and I am glad for this. When we were selecting vendors for our wedding, our first goal was to select people based on our chemistry with them. Obviously in this economy price was a big factor also, but I was so happy that Alex was able work with us on that as well. Alex is truly delightful to work with and a master at what he does. We are so pleased by the work he has done for us so far, we can't wait to have another big event to hire him for. However, I don't think he'll be comfortable filming in a delivery room :)
You can be sure I will definitely give Alex another 5 star review once I get our actual full length video. I can't wait!
Peter was fantastic. He started with a great engagement photo session at a place of our choosing and was able to adjust to the changing weather. He was almost like our wedding planner as he was in tuned to all the different phases of the planning and kept in touch with us at least twice a month in the early stages and then more often as the date became closer. He gave us the flexibility to choosing between purchasing an album or having the digital files for free! This was amazing since many other photographers would not even consider giving any of the digital files away for free and would charge us at least $2500 for the files or an album. I was so glad we chose Pete because he was definitely a one man band. He did it all and never looked tired or exhausted. He has a great energy and is so friendly and easy to talk to. He was there for us from start to finish and we would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great photographer. He also gave us a free large portrait which my husband I thought would be too much for our small apartment but we hung it up anyway because it's just so beautifully done. Now we're so pleased with the difference in atmosphere it creates for our apt that we're in the middle of redecorating our apt to match the very classy portrait.
The Four Seasons is the ultimate hotel. I wish I could afford to stay here for all my vacations. We rented the luxury suite and another 1 bedroom suite with extra rooms attached. Creating a wedding room block was so easy and they are very easy to work with on price as they are mostly a corporate hotel and actually are less busy on the weekends and holidays. We felt as if we had the whole hotel to ourselves. The staff and front desk people were so friendly and welcoming and helped to coordinate that the bride and groom did not see each other although both our limos were waiting in front to pick us up and bring us to the golf course.
We are giving the PAHGCC 4 stars for a number of reasons, We were married here this past Sept 6, 2009 and everything went perfectly. Better than we could have imagined. The grounds were beautiful, the staff for that day were courteous and looked great, LT was such a good coordinator and cued the string quartet perfectly. But before all this came to be, there was quite a bit of planning and negotiating involved as there were quite a few expenses. LT and Melissa were always pleasant and delightful to meet with. LT always made time for us, even at the last minute, although we could tell how busy she was by the speed in which she spoke! My husband and I are not members and aren't millionaires either but LT and Melissa made us feel as if we were. Even though, we would sit meeting after meeting with our planner there and try to negotiate some kind of discount, LT never made us feel like we couldn't afford the club. That's why I'm really surprised at the other comments that I've heard. LT was very professional, friendly, and caring. In our opinion, she went over and above her call of service to make everything spectacular and was so easy to work with, as long as you have email. She's hard to get a hold of on the phone, but shoot her an email and you'll almost always have a response in a few hours. The food was great and they let us bring in 1 item from outside which was special to our ethnic background. They let us bring in our own wine and even discounted the corkage fee. For everyone that's surprised at how we were able to manage these discounts after all the reviews that says they are unresponsive to these requests. I think it had something to do with the appearance of the building itself. When we first agreed to book the club back in 2008, they did disclose to us that there was major construction happening to the back of the building as they are putting in a spa facility. They assured us that it would not deter from the views or take away from the waterfall or other spectacular grounds areas. However, a few months before the wedding, my now husband and I made a trip up there for a wedding planning meeting and were horrified to see a bright large blue tarp hanging off the front of the building. There were bulldozers in the front and a hideous fence around the right perimeter of the building. I wanted to scream. I quickly spoke to LT and Melissa about this and I think they could see how distressed I was about this situation since THAT was not disclosed at all when they told us about construction. In all honesty, I think that was a big reason why they were more willing to negotiate with us.
More on LT: I actually read not so hot reviews on LT even before we booked the club and decided to book the club anyway for the gorgeous grounds and hire an outside wedding planner. However, in retrospect, LT probably could have done just as good a job, if not better, than our wedding planner and we would have saved an extra $3000. In fact, at our rehearsal, our ourside planner envisioned the groom and his parents, and groomsmen walking out from the side of the patio and the bride and bridesmaids walking down the aisle. Everyone could see how awkward this was as it looked like the men were walking out from the dark behind pillars into the light and just looked silly, but no one said anything because we thought the planner would eventually see that her approach didn't work. Thanks for LT, she wouldn't have it. She totally took control of the rehearsal and shined out our other planner and fixed the procession. We went with LT's procession arrangement for the wedding and the whole thing was beautiful. Thanks to LT for standing her ground and knowing when things need to be said/done to make the wedding the best it can be.
