Jason and Caroline's Wedding

Invitoscana is owned and run by an Italian-Swedish couple Pia and Michele. Pia's Scandinavian organisational precision and Michele's Italian knowledge make them a great wedding planning service. In a nutshell I would consider them to be like gold in the wedding world where huge wedding companies can be very impersonal and bad value for money. We were 100% satisfied with their service.
From the very first moment we stepped off the plane to visit venues in Florence they went out of their way to make our day perfect and help us with every tiny detail.

Pia is extremely efficient and has great contacts. She works with all the big companies but also smaller ones which you probably wouldn't be offered if you went to one of the larger wedding planners. She is totally focused on what the couple wants and will do anything she can to make it happen.

We ended up going to Florence twice to organise things and both times Pia and Michele chauffeured us around all the venues/suppliers etc with extreme patience. They think nothing of working evenings and never once remarked on how much of their time we had taken up. We made so many demands on Pia (e.g. going to Ikea to pick up candles for us at the last minute, lending us their camera when we forgot ours for one trip) and she never once complained.

I could go on forever but in summary, having worked with another wedding company as well (for our ceremony - they provided a protestant priest so we could have a religious ceremony) the thing that makes their service standout is more than efficiency, its her personal service. You could be forgiven for thinking that yours is the only wedding they are planning.

Fantastic venue, a beautiful villa situated in the hills above Florence. Terrace with breathtaking views over Florence city and surrounding countryside, only 15 minutes drive from Florence and 5 mins from Fiesole. Couples can hire the whole ground floor which has several gorgeous rooms. Dinner can be held in the huge ballroom or outside on the terrace. There is a small church on site or you get get married in the garden. The staff here are very helpful and do speak English. Another great selling point is the apartments next door called "Fattoria Di Maiano".

Beautiful old apartments set in the hills overlooking Florence and next door to Villa di Maiano. Each apartment is different and has a different character. All have a very rustic feel to them rather than being luxurious, but the atmosphere and the views surpass what they lack in 5* luxury.

Great views, rooms vary, does have a kind of "retirement home" feel to it.

Really friendly, well located little villa on the road past Maiano up to Fiesole. About 15 mins walk from Villa Maiano and 10 mins walk from Villa Fiesole. Rooms all newly refurbished and very clean/modern. Views great. Lovely owner who will do anything to help guests.
