Getting married in Mobile in June is beautiful, but HOT! Downtown Mobile is a perfect location for a wedding with a lot of out of town guests. The area boasts many restuarants and parks and there's always something going on during the weekends in the summer (such as art walks). I would recommend staying indoors for afternoon weddings and only venture outside in the evening. Mobile is less expensive than New Orleans and still has all the vintage charm.
Corey was an amazing DJ. He knew all the tricks to get people out on the dance floor and handled the schedule perfectly. There was never a dull moment! Also, he was a great communicator during the entire planning process.
Beautiful church! But a bit of a warning: It can be VERY HOT in the Cathedral during the summer months, especially up on the alter under all those lights.
The wedding coordinator for the Ezell House knows her stuff! She helped me to plan nearly every step of the way. The venue is so beautiful and has many photographic spots. It's a perfect downtown location...close to hotels, restaurants and churches.
The hotel is pretty and in a nice location, but the staff is less than competent. The actual event coordinator did everything she could to reserve our rooms and banquet room, but the front of the house staff couldn't seem to get it right. First, the staff turned some of our guests away saying that our room block was full when it was not even to 50% capacity. Second, we reserved the banquet room to have a private brunch the morning after our wedding but woke up Sunday morning to ANOTHER party in that room. The first party was a board meeting and they had complained that the board room was too small so the front staff told them to take the banquet room. To save face the hotel staff suggested for us to use the board room, but this did not work out well because there was only one table and about 15 chairs. I had reserved the other room in anticipation of 50 people. We just had to make due. I would NOT recommend this place for a wedding. Go to the Battlehouse across the street instead. They may be a little more pricy, but at least you know they'll get things right.
