We had our wedding ceremony and reception at our home in Medford, MA. Our friend got a one-day marriage designation from the State of Massachusetts and he married us in our living room in front of about 70 friends and family. We saved a lot of money by staying home, having a cocktail reception instead of a full dinner, and we used the savings to renovate parts of the house. We took advantage of additional savings by having it off-season: we got a bunch of discounts and freebies (the cake was a gift from the vendor). I bought a dress off the rack because I loved it as soon as I put it on. My sister and I made our own decorations and flowers (which we ordered from Costco) over a few hours of laughter and bonding. And the best part is that as we sit in our living room and watch TV, I can turn to my husband and say "I married you right here and it was a great time"

Excellent vendor! The food was wonderful, the team was experienced, they helped us a great deal with the whole event in general.
Kevin did such a great job with the photography, I can't stop looking at the photos. I strongly recommend him!
Award winning cake makers! The cake was beautiful. One word of advice: go for the Opera cake, forget the vanilla buttercream.
Cassandra at the NC Salon is a very talented girl when it comes to hair, she did a wonderful job!
