We ordered 3 different flavors. All were absolutely delicious. Service was pretty good, as well. Limited on ideas of creativity regarding icing finish. No bride really wants what everyone other bride orders. We wanted hexagon shaped cakes. Main drawback for us was having to order cake pans ourselves. Since hexagon shaped cakes are not as popular as typical square, round, or oval. I guess I'll have the hexagon pans for a souvenir if I don't sell them.
Customer service was outstanding. Fabulous Events made my planning an out-of-state wedding event stress free. I used this vendor for chair covers and sashes. The product was exactly as presented on their website. Staff answered questions and made informed suggestions. It was less expensive for me to have chair covers and sashes shipped to NC from MI than local vendor pricing. Highly recommended.
The Queens Landing Coordinator assigned for my wedding never communicated with me regarding details. Even after I called and emailed info. Coordinator was only available on part-time basis. Thus, we were answering questions and giving information day of wedding. NOT GOOD! Did not bother to read my email. When we arrived to decorate, yacht was not ready AND coordinator was no where to be found. Not set up according to chart in my file. Again NOT GOOD! Poor communication from the coordinator left us departing from the dock late. NOT GOOD! However, the food service was excellent! The captain and co-captain were absolutely delightful. I would rate the event coordinator 1 star and the yacht crew and food service 5 stars, thus the 3 star overall rating.
Very pleased with the accomodations. Beds were very comfortable. Continental breakfast had a decent variety and was very clean. Parking was very limited. Had to park in near by restaurant parking.Need to fix computer system. Indicated that my room was ready. After lugging bags to my room, discovered maids were still in the process of cleaning.
Hotel was conveniently located to wedding activities. However, the lobby was not well kept. One guest spotted a roach in the breakfast area. So, that blew the very limited contential breakfast amenity. There was furniture stacked in the parking lot. This Microtel Inn was nothing like the Microtel located on Banner Elk Dr. off Sunset Blvd., closer to downtown Charlotte. Price was cheap for 2 queen beds per room, but accomodations were uncomfortable and unclean.
