Our wedding was a great time and I am sure most of our guests thought the same! I was upset at first that it rained (as we had planned a beach wedding) but it turned out to be an unforgettable event. By the end of the night my dress had 4 inches of mud on the bottom, but I didn't care because we had such a good time enjoying our food, band, and family that it made the party!
Our wedding was six weeks ago as of this review and guests are still calling me to tell us how amazing our band was and where did we find them. Aside from playing great music, they really make your wedding one of a kind! They even had my husband sing a song to me--which was totally unplanned! If you want great entertainment and a long song list this is definitely a band to consider. They are reasonably priced we thought as well!
We used The Westporter for our catering and bar vendor. Could not have had better food at a wedding and the bar had all the options you could want. The owner even help us think us a signature drink to serve guests as they walked into the reception.
Did I mention the food was delicious?
This florist was recommended by our caterer and we were glad we listened. Sayles is very easy to work with and helps you create unique flower arrangements that make your event special and again one of a kind. The flowers were beautiful!! I especially loved my hand tied bridal bouquet.
Our reception was held at a private residence in Westport, MA with a huge tent (by ABC Tent Rentals). Our tent was nice and having the paper lanterns to compliment our wedding colors made it look beautiful. Tents we found out the hard way are a little more expensive than say having your reception at a place that offers the food and beverage and restrooms. If you are considering a tent, make sure you know you have to rent everything---down to the restrooms and generators.
Ok so I only gave our location 4 stars because our first choice (Elephant Rock Beach Club) got rained out. The Acoaxet Chapel is very nice but tiny (was hard to fit all 160 guests inside). However with that said it certainly has charm and our guests loved it! If you have smaller wedding is a place to consider--I think the chapel hold about 125-130 comfortably.
