Healdsburg is a setting out of a water color painting. Picturesque is the best way to describe it. A bunch of Midwesterners attended our wedding and were blown away. They were appreciative of the plans we made and the maps we provided. For a small town, Healdsburg is pricey. I believe Bay Area prices have crept up to this sleepy little wine town. Do your research and ask around for vendors if you're on a budget. You can find good people if you're willing to look outside the area, i.e. Guerneville, Cotati, Sacramento. Unfortunately, since the town is so small, there aren't a lot of restaurant or hotel options which were our sticky points. Overall, you can't beat the charm this area has to offer. Your guests will thank you for having your wedding in Healdsburg!
If you are a fan of rockabilly music, these guys are for you! Jinx and his crew were so easy to work with, very reasonable price for 3+ hours of music, and really assured us since we had never heard them live before.
Delicious food and such a beautiful display. Our guests are still talking about how great our heavy appetizer buffet was. We were a little worried because we didn't do a tasting since we live 2,000 miles away but it was amazing.
Erin was wonderful to work with. From our first meeting, she was accomodating and responsive. Compared to other photographers in the area, she was a real bargain and her pictures turned out beautifully. She and her assistant were completely in charge, laid back and in the background. I definitely recommend Bella Day.
We got on the cupcake trend and were not disappointed. The cupcakes, Pink Champagne, Ooh Lala, Peanut Butter Ripple, were irrestible. We set them up on a stand and let everyone help themselves. Totally worth it at 2.50/cupcake! Everyone in the shop was super nice and accomodating during the tasting--my favorite part of the experience.
Heather was very reasonable compared to other florists I explored. She was very responsive to emails and was able to meet me at our wedding site beforehand. The reason for a three star rating is due to the quality of the flowers and that she used colored flowers when I explicity asked for all white. If using Heather, I would just make sure you are very clear explaining what you want.
Amanda Rocks! She told me that I wouldn't leave the salon on my wedding day less than thrilled with my hair and she was right. I got many compliments and Amanda was super laid back which was helpful on a stressful day. My up do cost about $100.
The were so horrible to work with. The manager could barely speak english and told a number of our guests they were sold out when they had plenty of rooms still available in the block we reserved. We could never get a straight answer on the guests who had made reservations. The continental breakfast consisted of stale bread and not fruit. When asked if there was more fruit, the staff was rude and unaccomodating.
Nice place but a Best Western. The staff was also unwilling to accomodate with unreasonable requests of paying for the rooms 30 days in advance and offering no multi room discount. $200-$300/night is a lot to pay for a Best Western and little to no guest services.
All of our guests who stayed at Geyserville really enjoyed their stay. It's a cute, boutique type hotel. The Hoffman House hosted our Rehearsal Dinner and the food was great. The patio was perfect for around 35 people. I would recommend.
The manager was a total flake but the waitstaff was great. I asked numerous times what was needed to reserve their beergarden for 35 people and got the run around. Finally, I received a contract that stated a $107 check was necessary to reserve the space. The check was never cashed so I had to follow up again. The manager told me that it would be put toward the final bill. This was not the case. There was such bad communication it left a horrible taste in everyone's mouth. No one from our wedding went back to Bear Republic. I would suggest going to the Healdsburg Bar and Grill instead. They were more than accomodating after the wedding was over.
