Two Chef's catered my wedding. The food was very good (minus the mashed potatoes that tasted like instant), the servers were also good. The older lady that is the owner's right hand was sweet and wonderful. My biggest problem was with the bar. We supplied all of our liquor. The bartenders (both in their twenties) were drinking the entire time, taking shots with our guests, letting guests take unopened bottles of liquor to their tables, giving liquor to underaged guests, and there were two things that particularly angered me. When the wedding was over, I the bride, walked up and told them not to give any more drinks out. When I turned around the bartender gave a drink to someone with cash in hand. They also were selling my unopened liquor for 5 flipping dollars at the end of the night. There were 3 to four bottles of numerous alcohol opened but only two bartenders. We were able to return unopened liquor so that was like taking money out of my pocket. It was very disappointing. When this stuff was brought up to the owner he said, "It was like a zoo in there, someone needs to take responsibility for the guests". I understand that the guests were drinking, but I also expected the bartenders to cut them off if they were drinking too much. And doesn't every bride want her wedding to be called a zoo? He corrected himself by saying the bar was a zoo. It was disappointing to have such an unprofessional bar at my wedding. I would not recommend using this caterer because of my experience. The venue will also not be using this caterer anymore. They in addition to me, found the owner arrogant, loud and obnoxious. BE WARNED, STAY AWAY!
Joe is AWESOME! He know his music, how to get the crowds attention and is just an overall awesome person. We couldn't have been happier with our wedding music. Best DJ EVER!!!
I had my wedding flowers done by Konradt's. I went to put the boutonnière on my husband to be and the rose literally fell off the stem. That sucked, we used one of the usher's and it did the same thing. Out of 11 boutonnière's we were only able to use 6. It was EXTREMELY disappointing. My rose bouquet started dying before the ceremony even started. I was told the bridesmaids bouquets would have a dozen roses and they had 10. When I brought this up to the son of the company who I worked directly with and He said he never said that. It was a lot of He Said... She Said problems. He lowered the price of my toss bouquet. I didn't realize he would only put 5 roses in it. I felt like I was throwing a boutonnière. I would not recommend this florist.
This place was WONDERFUL! Mark, the person that runs the club is amazing and extremely helpful. Our only problem was that half the air went out, but they got struck by lightning, so it wasn't their fault and they did everything they could to fix it. I would highly recommend The Woman's Club of Wilmette.
