Our wedding was the best day of our lives so far! Planning this one day for a year and half can be stressful and exhausting, but doing your research on the best prices can really help you save money! We wouldn't change anything about our day, just wish it didn't go by so fast. Best advice I ever got as a bride... "No one cares more than you do!" The Wedding Mapper was a great resource to share with our guests. We'd highly recommend using it!
James, the owner DJed our wedding and did an excellent job. His website was very organized and helped us put in all of our favorite requests and calculate our wedding's time line from the moment our guests arrived, to the very last song. Overall he did a great job and I would highly recommend him and his services!
The White House Wedding Chapel was a beautiful location for our wedding. It was fairly expensive as you are paying for 'time' to rent the chapel and you don't get much extra time for pictures or anything. (Our wedding began at 4pm and myself, the bride and the entire bridal party, including guests, weren't allowed in the chapel until 3:45pm and we were booted promptly at 5pm due to back to back weddings.) The one bonus is, if you book your limo through the Lavdas as well, you get a discount on both the chapel and the limo. Very beautiful location, both indoors and outside.
I LOVED Lakeland Manor! From the moment we began working with Craig and his family, we were treated special, not just another bride and groom. Their prices are VERY reasonable, the best I found in the area, and they certainly don't compromise their competitive pricing with the appearance of this hall. Every detail has been attended to, the chandeliers, the waterfalls, it was very beautiful. Best of all, our guests cannot stop raving about the food! We chose to go with a buffet and everyone LOVED it! I highly recommend this hall for your wedding, for a reasonable price, great food and EXCELLENT service.
We were very disappointed in the Courtyard Marriott. We booked our wedding block here based on the fact that our guests got a free shuttle to and from the reception hall, HOWEVER, the shuttle did not map out the directions to the hall and brought many of our guests VERY late to the reception after getting lost several times. We were supposed to have the shuttle reserved for 2 hours in the beginning and 2 hours at the end, but the 2 hours at the end turned into about half an hour. The shuttle failed to come back for last few groups of guests, who happened to be the most intoxicated at the end of the evening and needed the ride the most. We also brought welcome bags for all of our guests staying at the hotel and the staff was supposed to distribute them as our guests arrived at the hotel, BUT many guests complained of not getting the bags, and come to find out the next day, they still had about half a dozen behind the desk they did not distribute!
