When we first started talking about planning the wedding, we needed to decide between a small intimate affair and a gala event. Either size could have been done with style and grace.
One important goal that we could both agree upon was that we wanted our guests to be comfortable and have a wonderful time. We wanted to plan the kind of wedding that we ourselves would love to attend.
So since we will only do this once, we combined all the things we love: fresh high quality food,
lots of desserts,
excellent wine, interesting art,
live music, and
laughter amongst friends.
And we held a blow-out event...
We used many online resources to both plan and communicate the wedding activities, and Wedding Mapper provided a very convienent link to show people where everything would be located.
The perfect music and performance for both our wedding and the venue. Now we need to go hear them when we're not the center of attention. And we're still getting compliments on the music months later. Easily the best value of the entire wedding.
Heron really helped us articulate the sentiments that we wanted to express, and put it all together into a beautiful ceremony. And she was so much fun!!
Crystal and her team were the masters of design, planning, and execution!! And she could easily keep up with our detailed spreadsheets and planning. We have no idea how you could do something like this without a talented coordinator.
Clean, contemporary, and unique designs that were fit for framing. Everything was consistent from STD cards to the reception signage to the thank you cards.
Photography was one of the most important choices during our planning, and we hit a home run with Jen. Jen shows an amazing eye for light and perspective in all of her work, and our images turned out amazing.
The highest quality catering without having to pay the highest price. Not only did we get stellar food and wine, but it was an amazing sight watching the servers work the room.
What more could we ask for in a cake that tasted as good as it looked? Unique contemporary design that wasn't overly ornate and fit well with the venue.
we held the ceremony outside in the sculpture garden, and then spread throughout the museum for the reception. the de young provided us with a contemporary and unique location for our wedding style. although not inexpensive, especially for gallery rental, it was well worth the cost
we considered (and tested) many hotels for hosting 100 of our guests for four nights. the meridien provided excellent service, perfect location, and overall convience at a price that was more reasonable than many of the non 4-star hotels we considered in the city
