Our wedding was absolutely amazing and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The location was beautiful, the Full Moon Resort was a blast, and the music was great. We are a big group of partiers and Full Moon had exactly what we needed. An awesome barn for an after-party complete with bartenders, and another barn for the after-after-party (bring your own booze!) for the younger generation. Overall, it was the best day ever!
The Woodstock All-Stars were absolutely amazing at our wedding. They play a mix of classic rock and funk but are willing to play songs not necessarily in those genres (for instance, we asked them to play a Michael Jackson song). They are NOT for couples looking for a traditional wedding band that will play today's hits along with the chicken dance/electric slide, etc. The Woodstock All-Stars are more of a jam band, perfect for couples who want something a little funkier. Our guests had a blast dancing to them!

Karen runs a tiny salon out of the back of her house. A downside is that she can only do 3 people's hair and makeup so if you have a lot of bridesmaids who want to get hair/makeup done, they'll have to go somewhere else. Me, my sister, and my mother went to Karen. It was a very peaceful morning, perfect for a bride! We sat on the back porch with hot mugs of coffee while we waited for each other to get hair/makeup done. She did a great job with my hair. The makeup was good but it was pretty natural looking and nothing crazier than I could have done myself. She required that I supply my own makeup, which I thought was strange.
Full Moon put on an excellent wedding for us. The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the whole wedding night went off without a hitch. I think the biggest issue we had was a lack of communication between Full Moon staff and our guests. They also tend to nickel and dime every little thing. For instance, we brought sandwiches to my room so that we'd have lunch while I and the bridesmaids got ready. We were in a rush so didn't have time to stop and get sodas. Full Moon said that they would provide us sodas, but it would cost extra. They already had sodas out for arriving guests, but wouldn't let us have any?? It was very strange. Guests also complained a little about the rustic rooms, but we knew what we were getting into with that. I wouldn't choose this location if you want a really fancy, upscale wedding.
The groom's immediate family rented a house at Slide Mountain, and said that the rooms were very clean and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They enjoyed the food as well.
