Our wedding couldn't have been better! With all the rain we had this June I was getting a little nervous that we would have to go with our rain plan but it ended up only drizzling and then being a gorgeous evening. I'm actually glad it wasn't sunny and hot! The Commandant's House was an absolutely amazing venue. All our guests loved the fact that it wasn't a typical hotel wedding and since it was in Boston it gave our out of town guests a chance to explore the city.
We loved them! Very professional and gave our ceremony and cocktail hour a unique touch.
Steve was an awesome DJ. We got so many compliments on him and his style. He wasn't invasive or do anything tacky. He definitely got everyone on the dance floor!
Hilary made a very beautiful and delicious wedding cake for us. It was simple yet very elegant and all our guests made comments on how surprisingly good it tasted.
Mark was excellent to work with. His services included an assistant photographer which was nice to make sure every angle of the day was covered. Between them there were roughly 4000 pictures taken! His style is more photojournalistic and less staged portraits.
Les Fleurs was the best florist we could have chosen. Located in Andover, they have the cutest little shop and very friendly staff. The flowers were so fresh and beutifully arranged, they definitely know what they are doing. We also ordered our invitations here at a discounted price!
Awesome venue and very unique for the Boston area. Located right at the Navy Yard in Charlestown all our guests were able to easily find the venue which had quite a few hotels within walking distance. Being right on the water was also a nice touch.
We chose to have our reception inside the house, not on the lawn under a tent. It was so beautiful inside and everyone was able to walk around and explore this historic house. They do have AC units in the windows, however, with all the dancing we were doing it did get a little warm in there. It was all worth it though!
The Residence in was the most convenient hotel for our guests to stay close to the wedding venue. The rooms are great and guests liked the suites and utilized the small kitchens in each room. All our out of town welcome bags weren't distributed to guests as they arrived though which I wasn't too happy about.
Such a nice hotel which great views and service. We gave the front desk our out of town welcomes bags to give to guests as they checked in and they didn't seem to hand any of them out which was disappointing! We ended up taking them all home the next day.
