The interior of this historic home is not able to be used except for the bridal suite and glassed-in parlor room but the garden terraces offer many options. The reception requires a tent and I recommend getting the clear walls vs solid ones with the little fake windows. When the sun sets, everyone can enjoy the view. It's set behind the town of Middleburg but far enough away that you won't disturb anyone or have any wedding crashers.
We happened upon this venue by chance and glad we did. This venue is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. It's an historic home and land and part of your "contribution" to the site can be claimed on your taxes. There are so many areas throughout the venue for photo ops. I recommend you take advantage of as many as possible. The layout of the land is the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
This was a great option for our guests flying in from out of town since it was relatively close to Dulles airport. Our guests enjoyed their stay and appreciated the secluded feel the hotel gave.
