We started the morning at the Hilton Garden Inn in Norwalk where the girls got ready. My bridesmaids made sure all the details were out - my Pronovias dress from NYC, sparkly accessories and wildflower-inspired bouquet from Starbright Floral Design in NYC. I decided to do a "First Look" which took place at the reception location, the Shore and Country Club in Norwalk. (Perfection!)
It was a romantic and sweet ceremony, taking place at the Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport, with an impromptu celebration taking place on the church steps after the ceremony - initiated by Matt's very happy parents, popping champagne and greeting the guests as soon as the ceremony was over.
The reception took place at Shore and Country Club in Norwalk.The beautiful concept for the decor was inspired by Diana from Jubilee Events. The tables were draped in ivory with blue hydrangea centerpieces made by Starbright Floral Design in NYC and little personal touches scattered throughout. After an outdoor cocktail hour on the Sound, the guests were escorted in and the reception kicked off with our first dance. From there, the Heartbeat Dance Band kept the party going with the dance floor packed the rest of the night. After the very last dance, all of the guests headed outside and cheered as we left the reception in a sea of sparklers.
Best Band~! This band was so easy to work with and they literally kept my guests dancing until the last minute. They went by what the crowd was dancing most too and played off that which I loved. They also called me inside so that I didn't miss my favorite songs. This was definitely well worth the money and I would reccomend them to anyone.
The pictures speak for themselves. They will be at every big event I have after this. Just amazing creativity.
I used the lovely and wonderful Diana. She is the kindest person and has the most amazing ideas. She was on top of everything and made sure the day was exactly how I wanted it.
Tom Sebenius and team is genius! Genius! What a great time we had creating everything from the church arrangements to the centerpieces. I gave him my budget and we worked through everything so that I got everything I wanted.
I can not say enough about this venue. This place is worth every penny especially if you get to work with Colm the Manager. The food is amazing and the chef will even let you make your own menu! The venue has just been completely re-done so everything is new and the scenery is just beautiful. I am going to plan my parents wedding anniversary party here as well - it was that good!
This hotel rocks! They kept the bar open for our after party until 2am, made sure that I got the biggest suite and that it was all made up for me and they have fresh cookies! The breakfast in the morning is also amazing and much needed!
