We originally wanted to go to Orcas Island because we thought it would feel like a destination wedding without having to go too far. We loved having our family and friends up there for the weekend so we were able to spend more than just the wedding night with a lot of them. There is a certain type of mentality up there we found with some vendors, who we decided to not work with because it seemed all they wanted was as much money they could squeeze out of you because you're limited to things on the island, which isn't entirely true.
Everyone LOVED our food at our wedding. Bruce and Christina were very professional, friendly and on top of everything. It felt as if we had family members looking over our food for our wedding.
Rosario was a fantastic place to have our wedding ceremony at. Jolene, who we worked with, was professional and very friendly during the whole process. We always knew everything would be taken care of in her hands.
The Odd Fellows Hall in Eastsound was a nice place to have our reception. We loved the venue, although the restrooms could use some work. The ceiling lights were great as were the lights on the back wall. Our biggest problem with the venue was that it always seemed like the guy who ran it, Jay, wanted to find ways to get more money out of us while renting it. The microphone was extra money, the tables and chairs were extra, the kitchen was extra, etc. And this was after he started our original conversation stating he doesn't "nickel and dime you"
