Our wedding was a wonderful December Day in Florida. Being outdoors it was a little windy, and those of us who made a note of that at the rehearsal made sure our hair was plastered in place. Those who didn't had flying hair issues. There were lots of snafus, one which noone could have prevented was the infestation of black ants in the AC vents of our rental car. VERY FUNNY in hindsight. All in all we dealt with them one at a time and remained cool, and had a great time. I was happy I planned so much time between the ceremony and reception so we weren't rushed. The total cost was over $10,000 but we paid it little by little through the year leading up to the wedding and it was pretty much paid for by the time it happened. We were happy to have all of our family around us and we have some wonderful pictures to show for it.
Very cost effective. Needs more direction than we gave them. Provide a detailed song list ahead of time of all of the genres you'd like to hear. Takes direction too literally on song preference. Volume too loud, and hesitant to lower it.
Also very cost effective. Their package includes everything from decorations to officiant, music, sound system, to photography. Every detail of the ceremony. WBTS was somewhat disorganized and needs to be managed more firmly than we did. Call them a week beforehand to go over all the details, or they may just call you the day before. we got a religious ceremony instead of the civil one we had asked for and by the time we realized it it was too late to go back. At least ask them to go thru a little bit of the ceremony while rehearsing so you can make sure the same mistake doesnt happen. Ask at the rehearsal what the officiant plans to wear. They contracted the limo service as well, and it was VERY cost effective, but the driver recieved NO direction at all about where she was going or how the limo was supposed to be prepared. We were promised ice in the coolers, soft drinks, juices, and bottled water. When the driver arrived she was none the wiser. She was very nice tho' and went to go get ice for our beverages during the ceremony.
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL. This was the BEST 1/2 hour MASSAGE EVER!!!! All the girls in the party got together before the rehearsal for Mani/Pedi/half-hour massage combo. They actually opened the spa early for us on the day after christmas to do this. The package was reasonable as spa packages go. The ladies there were so understanding, even though we had a crying baby with us. A really beautiful storefront, right near the Ceremony Location.
Jessi worked with me to create the perfect arrangements, on my budget. She even delivered the flowers personally day-of to our hotel. I'd recommend her in a heart beat.
We chose this location because we wanted to be married on the beach, but we have relatives who are not physically fit anymore. We wanted the surface the event happened on to be flat in case anyone was in a wheelchair or on crutches. We got the best of both worlds because after the wedding the party was able to go down on the sand and take pictures. We rented the boardwalk from the city of Deerfiled Beach and the ceremony was put on by Weddings By the Sea. The ocean view was beautiful, but some beach-goers refused to leave the area even though it was totally decked out in wedding decor. So there are some strangers in the backgrounds of our pictures.
This is a beautiful venue, and during the Holiday season it is decked out with huge Christmas tree and garlands all around the building. 1/2 of one atrium was more than ample space for our 65 guests. The food and drinks were great and the service was excellent. Since their facilities are all on-site, it makes it easy to pick out everything from flatware to linens, salad to dessert. I was amazed the wedding cake was included in their package. Jennifer Watson The planning associate was great. Make sure you assert yourself whenever something doesn't go your way. We had a problem with a bartender who wanted to provide his signature coctail "The Jean Claude" to everyone regardless of their order. When I asked the head waiter to fix it, he did. The bartender was replaced and fast.
It was under construction at the time, but all in all LQ is a dependable clean safe chain with a good free breakfast. Usually has pool and Hot Tub available too
The Bride and Groom paid over $200 per night to stay there the nights before and after the wedding. In our opinion it wasn't worth it. The appointments were no different than any other standard hotel room, and the service was slow. Don't drink the $4 bottle of water they leave in the room. Breakfast and Hors D'ourves in the concierge lounge were GREAT although we were rarely awake early enough to make use of the breakfast.
