Loved DJ Rockhand for my Nov. 6 wedding at El Convento. He played everything I requested from oldies, to top 40, classic rock, 80s and latin music. The guests had a blast and absolultely everyone danced. I highly recommend DJ Rockhand. The only thing that was 100% was his emcee, she was very nice, just had a very heavy accent and was hard to understand for some.
I cannot thank Keniann transportation enough for their fabulous service during my wedding weekend. We used them for a sailing excursion one day and the wedding on another. They were always early, drivers were very polite, buses clean, and Kendall was amazing to work with. Great service. Thank you Keniann Transportation!
I cannot express how amazing Pancho is as a musician. He added the most beautiful ambiance to my wedding ceremony which brought guests to tears. He then played at the cocktail hour for my guests and was very entertaining to all. The guests raved about him and his guitar playing. He was very easy to work with when it came to the booking and song selections as well. His wife is fabulous to work with on many of the logistics. Pancho is worth every penny!
Festivo can create anything you can imagine and they do it with great customer service. Pedro doesn't speak much English, but it didn't matter at all. His staff translated for me and through this and a couple of meetings and many pictures of things I loved, he created my perfect wedding. There was some delivery hitches which could have been handled a bit better customer service wise post event, but the bottom line is that Pedro and the rest of the team at Festivo are wonderful to work with and want to make their clients happy. I interviewed a few floral/decor companies and am very happy I chose Festivo. They went above and beyond with a challenging ceremony setup and make the reception hall look phenomenal. They are worth every penny.
Wow! Talk about an amazing team. Customer service was fabulous and the cake was gorgeous and super yummy. They made exactly what I wanted for my wedding cake. They also made some delicious brownies and wrapped then in plastic and adorable purple ribbons for my wedding favors which the guests gobbled up before the night was over. Pricing was very reasonable too. And on a side note, we visited the island for a tasting and hurricane Irene hit but Maricel still met with us even though power was out :) I cannot recommend Carlos and Maricel enough.
There is no doubt that the hotel has one of the most gorgeous reception halls I have every seen. The food is outstanding as well. The customer service from catering is in need of some help, but in the end me and the guests were happy with the food and had an amazing time. The servers were excellent as was the banquet captain. Again, response time from catering was extremely slow and I don't think that the manager for that department is understand customer service at all. The response time was extremely slow - had she worked in any major city in the states she would have been fired. She did not effect the outcome of the wedding, but I would say this one person is the only reason I an unable to give El Convento a 5 star review, her slowness and customer service was just ridiculous.
We used the Caribe Hilton for our rehearsal brunch and as the guest hotel. We loved that it was close to Old San Juan for our guests and that it had a private beach. My only criticism is that the hotel is one of the oldest in the city and thus is in need of some upgrading. That being said, it is undergoing renovations from what I understand. Service wise for the room block they was very easy to work with and gave a very reasonable rate. As for the brunch, it was set up perfectly, and they accommodated a few unexpected guests without question. Everything with the Caribe went great service wise - they are only 1 star short of 5 b/c it is in need of some updating. That being said, all my guests were very happy with it and would stay there again, as would I.
Talk about a magical place to get married. Though it can be a bit challenging to work with the park service rules it is affordable and very memorable for you and your guests. We were married inside the Fort on the main level where you enter, to the right, under the lighthouse. It was 7pm in November so it was dark outside so you could only hear the waves, but it made for a very unique wedding that our guests loved. The wind in this spot on the fort was not intense. I know you can get married on the higher level, but I felt it was too windy-granted if we had a large wedding that is where we probably would have done it. I would not have changed anything about my ceremony location and though decor and setup for logistically challenging since time is limited, it was worth it. I highly recommend this location as well as Castillo San Cristobal.
