Our wedding in New York City was a dream, despite the rain! And Wedding Mapper was a great resource to share with our guests. We'd highly recommend using it! If you have a wedding web site, try the "embed" feature to make it look super professional. Here's an example: http://www.idofoundation.org/cgi-bin/mvc.cgi?page=events.html&OccasionID=32377
RSVP was a fantastic band. They were talented, flexible, helpful and responsive. Their music was a little older, but even for our young wedding, it worked because people of all ages knew the songs and enjoyed dancing to them! Here's a video of them singing Heaven by Bryan Adams for our first dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2SXko0QRzs
Beautiful location. Bob Van Pelt, the in-house caterer is very helpful and makes delicious food! We did a passed-hors d'oeuvres and station food dinner and it was perfect. The place is so elegant that you need virtually no decorations, and we were able to buy our own alcohol and save a ton of money. The staff they hired was great, I cannot say enough. Here's a video of our first dance which shows the fireplace and part of the library: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2SXko0QRzs
The Courtyard Marriott Upper East Side is a total gem. Beautiful rooms, really good group rates ($179/night in NYC, unheard of!), and the most friendly staff around. I highly recommend it!
