September 26th of this year was the most magical day of our lives thus far. We loved our wedding and we were surrounded by the best people... our friends and family. It was an elaborate wedding in the sense that we had put a lot of effort into our small details that we did ourselves and the rest we left up to the professionals! With all of our hard work done we were able to enjoy ourselves fully and enjoy our guests. It was such a blast. We had the ceremony and reception all inside at the Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara and took photos just outside.
The cake tasted GREAT!!! They nailed the ribbon color and design exactly how we wanted. My parents did not care for Katie's bedside manner at the time of our tasting but she might have been having a busy day as she is very friendly via email? All in all, our cake was beautiful and DELICIOUS. Thank you Katie!
Salina is a brilliant photographer and multi-talented person. She is professional, has a sharp eye and works flexibly to get photos to happen. I highly recommend her and her team.
Stella Mare's was awesome for the rehearsal dinner. The food was excellent and our service was phenomenal... you can't beat the ambience in the Greenhouse either! My one complaint is that Sarah Bixler (one of the events managers there) is not easy to get a hold of or timely to hear back from at times.
I fell in love with the original part of the Montecito Country Club when I first walked in its doors. I loved everything about the MCC. My one warning is that quick email conversations with Clair Tietze (events manager) can sometimes be difficult (because she is busy). Some of the staff were a little rude on the phone. However, when it came to the big day Clair and our wedding coordinator came through on everything. The food was EXCELLENT, service was EXCELLENT, Clair managed it all with great professionalism.
Geoff was awesome. He was so busy he couldn't meet with me before the wedding but he didn't have to. He knew exactly what to do and just did it.
Flower Power did a phenomenal job with all things flowers and candles for our wedding. He is a true Floral designer and genius with combining floral and organic elements to make unique and traditional arrangements. THank you!
I'm so glad we went with dark brown chivari chairs! It made everything look so rich! Nick is wonderful to work with. He can give you suggestions to work with your budget.
Ventura Rentals is an average-size rentals company with better pricing than Classic Party rentals(also in the ventura county). The great thing about Ventura Rentals was that if they didn't have it - they would order for a sample for your approval and get you what you needed. It worked for us!
Ashley Kelly came to the rescue! I'm so glad she had time to squeeze me in... she made me glow for photos! She is worth every penny!!
Words can't describe what a masterpiece Michelle made for our Sweets Table. It was awesome - she is a true designer/artist with food concepts.
This company was awesome. They were flexible with the time I had the flower stands. I needed at least one of them a few days earlier for my florist to work with. They were very understanding. YOu just have to pick them up yourself... it was no problem for us.
We hired individual members of the Ojai Big Band to arrive earlier and play our Ceremony Music and Cocktail reception. For the ceremony we had a flutist (Dan Willard) and a pianist. For the Cocktail Hour we hired a pianist on a keyboard.
Lots of couples and most of my family ended up staying here. My husband's family had rented a house that they stayed at but most out of town guests came here. Its a very modern updated hotel with great historical celebrity being a former home of Charlie Chaplin. It is just a mile or so away from the Montecito Country Club so it was super convenient.
